COS Catskills Fall Getaway

COS put together a group getaway upstate during peak foliage in mid-October. We stayed at Piaule, which had been on my radar since it opened during the pandemic. Two hours from the city, and we timed it right, arrived in time for afternoon snacks and a swim at the spa.

The next day we went to Art Omi, a 120-acre sculpture and architecture park with a gallery attached. It reminded me a lot of Storm King Art Center, somewhere I've been going for years. If you already love Storm King, Art Omi belongs on the same list.

We spent the afternoon on Warren Street in Hudson, a long stretch with more cafes and shops than you'll get through in one visit. Wylde Hudson is worth a stop, and Gestalt if you're into furniture. We also did a tea mixing, chocolate tasting, and sage gift-making class at The Quiet Botanist, a genuinely nice store on top of the class itself.

The weather held the entire trip, which meant one more morning of the views before we headed back.

Thank you to COS for putting this together, good timing for peak foliage and good company to spend it with.

PS. I saved everything I wore on this trip, plus a few other favorites, on my Shop My here.
