La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel

La Residencia had been on my list for a long time, and it's where we spent our 10-year wedding anniversary. It's in Deià, a quiet coastal village in Mallorca, and it was exactly the kind of place I wanted for the occasion.

Breakfast of scrambled eggs and jamón by the pool every morning.

A separate adult swimming pool that feels more private.

Cala Deià is a rocky beach with clear water, about 10 minutes by car or 30 on foot from La Residencia. Book ahead for Ca's Patro March if you're going, we didn't manage to get a table this time, but I ate there with friends back in 2019 and still think about the seafood.

Our anniversary dinner was at El Olivo, on the property. We were seated right as the sun was going down, and I kept thinking about how it must look in summer, when the days run longer and you get those views stretched out well into the evening. The whole scene around us felt like we were the main characters in a movie.

Aje Dress, Jimmy Choo Heels, The Row Bag, Prada Headband

Ten years in, it was good to actually slow down for a few days and just be there with each other instead of rushing through it.

Thank you to La Residencia and Belmond for having us for our 10th.
